Mother’s Day
Sunday March 14th is recognised as Mother’s Day here in the UK. A day to celebrate a very special woman in each of our lives.
Some of us are blessed to still have a mother, whilst some of us are not so fortunate. Mother’s Day can be a very tough day for those who have lost their mother or whose mother is ill or estranged. Some of us are mothers with children in our arms, whilst others have aching hearts and empty arms. Whether today you are able to celebrate with your own mother, or with your children as a mother, or whether you have a fabulous ‘other-mother’ in your life and memories of your own, take some time to cherish what you have and reflect on all of the important relationships you have with wonderful women.
This Mother’s Day we are celebrating Tessa, our own mother. With 5 children and 13 grandchildren, Tessa is the inspiration in our lives. In her 80s, but with a style of her own, she is constantly wearing SisterStory and giving us design input!!!! With a preference for pearls, their lustre are the perfect complement to her hair and skin tone. Regardless of dressing up or dressing down, Mum is rarely without jewellery completing her outfit and accentuating a neckline. With that in mind, it was natural we named our popular pearl range after her. Tessa short necklaces, with a ring and bar fastening and a tumble of pearls, are perfect worn inside an open collar and are both flattering and versatile. Available in two colourways, ‘Slate’ is created with a beautiful combination of shades of grey pearls, whilst ‘Sahara’ is a combination of bronze pearls and natural African opal stones. Matching bracelets are also available.
Happy Mother’s Day Mum!
No woman is ever too old to be stunningly stylish!
